Stains and other marks reappearing once a carpet has been cleaned is one of the most frustrating aspect of carpet cleaning.
In short by far the most likely reason , is that the sticky or greasy stain has not been removed by the cleaning process, only the dirt which was sticking to it has gone, New dirt then sticks to the stain and it reappears.
To prevent this a very thorough clean is required.
The stain needs to be assessed and then treated with the appropriate cleaning solution.Agitation will probably help, and then the use of a high powered truck mounted system using hot water to remove the stubborn stain.
A cheap ‘splash and dash’ clean is only likely to have provided a superficial clean, whereas a thorough deep clean has removed the source of the problem.
